LIFT 2.0, a homeless response initiative aimed at housing 1,500 households by December 31, 2024, was launched in the summer of 2022 in the City of Atlanta. Recently, the City of Atlanta introduced the Welcome H.O.M.E. initiative, a streamlined and transparent system for permitting affordable housing projects. Streamlining the permitting system simplifies the process for developers, which in turn, makes affordable housing a more appealing investment.
