Recently, we welcomed a new parent, Princess, and her three children! Originally hailing from Nigeria, Princess
arrived in the United States in 2017, seeking a brighter future for herself and her children. She took advantage
of every opportunity offered to her, obtaining her real estate license in 2022 and following up with an insurance
license in 2023. Not stopping there, she ventured into the realm of entrepreneurship, becoming a licensed used
car dealer. However, even with her incredible tenacity and drive, Princess still came to experience
homelessness. Needing help and support, she arrived at Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS).
Enrolled in the programs at Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS), Princess has found invaluable support and resources
to navigate her journey. At ACS, she not only receives assistance for herself but also for her children through the
Early Childhood Education program, which fosters a supportive environment for their holistic well-being. Through
ACS, Princess accesses a range of services tailored to her needs, including job coaching, resume and cover letter
support, and interview preparation. Moreover, she actively participates in parent workshops aimed at enhancing her
skills and knowledge. Mellony, her dedicated case manager at ACS, provides personalized guidance and support,
empowering Princess’ progress towards her goals. Now, Princess eagerly prepares to pursue her MBA at Western
Governors University, having already been accepted into the program. With a gift today, you can empower
