The Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS), community partners, sponsors and supporters gathered in the Historic Fourth Ward Park for the “Bury Poverty” 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 27, 2019 to support ACS’ programs serving homeless children and families in Metro Atlanta. This family-friendly event began with a Pep Rally and continued with a 5K and 1K Run for children. They were joined by Georgia State University’s Mascot, Pounce. Trophies were awarded for Men and Women’s Overall, Men and Women’s Master Overall, and the top 3 winners in 7 age groups.
