WSB-TV Family 2 Family and Corporate Partners Make 5 To Thrive a Success!

ATLANTA, April 18, 2017 – The Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS) and more than 500 community supporters gathered in Piedmont Park for the 9th Annual “5 to Thrive” 5K Run/Walk and Bunny Run on Saturday April 15, 2017 to support ACS programs serving homeless children and families in Metro Atlanta.

This family-friendly event began with a Pep Rally hosted by WSB-TV Family 2 Family Reporter Carl Willis. After a brief warm up with ABC,The Doctors guest Podiatrist, Dr. Ron, the event continued with a 5K Run/Walk and a fun run affectionately called the “Bunny Run” with mascots from the Atlanta Dream, Georgia State University, IceByrd Frozen Yogurt, and ACS. Trophies were awarded for Men and Women’s Overall, Men and Women’s Master Overall, and the top 3 winners in 7 age groups.
