This month, our students learned about community helpers that keep our
neighborhoods going! Teaching students about community helpers aids their
understanding of how neighborhoods function, and it teaches them how they
can help their communities! Additionally, our kiddos were exposed to a
variety of career paths like being a firefighter, paramedic, doctor, dentist,
postal worker, librarian, transit worker, and more! Keep scrolling to
see photos of our Toddler 2 and Preschool classrooms!
Our Toddler 2 classroom learned more about community helpers through
dramatic play at “the dentist’s office” and “the doctor’s office.” Our very
own nurse practitioner, Jordan Murphy, participated in the doctor’s office
to do mock appointments with our students!

Our preschool classroom learned through a variety of activities exploring
what tools community helpers use, including paintbrushes, hammers,
toothbrushes, floss, and more!

Our kiddos have such bright futures ahead of them. We’re so glad that we can
show them all they might be and all the people that will help them along the
way!
