Atlanta Children’s Shelter’s “Strides of March” event to benefit homeless familiesATLANTA, Feb. 26, 2010 – Multi-Platinum recording artist and actor Clifford “T.I.” Harris, best known for his hits “Paper Trail,” “King,” and “Urban Legend,” will run in the 2010 Strides of March 5K Run Walk benefitting the Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS) Sunday, March 27 at 9 a.m.
“T.I. has been actively engaging in community-based organizations that support children and families,” said ACS Executive Director Dr. Jackye Brown. “We are thrilled that he has chosen to support the Atlanta’s Children’s Shelter and the homeless families we serve by running in our event.” The 3.1-mile, tree-lined route through Midtown begins and ends in front of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter on the corner of North Avenue and Peachtree Street. “The event is stroller friendly, and we welcome participants who want to bring non-aggressive breeds of dogs, as long as they’re on leashes,” said Dr. Brown. Registration is $25 per runner until March 13, after which it is $30. All registrants receive a performance T-shirt and can sign up online at www.atlantachildrensshelter.org.
